The municipal government of Granada is carrying out patching work on the main streets and avenues, as part of the improvement of public roads, in which 60 cubic meters of asphalt material will be used.
The engineer Bayardo Lacayo, head of the Public Investment office of the Mayor’s Office of Granada, said that these works began in the streets that lead to the Tourist Center of Granada, beginning with Calle la Inmaculada, Calle Real, Calle San Juan de Sur, and currently in Calle Palmira.
“Later we are going to work on the avenues, always from East to West,” Lacayo said, adding that they expect to work around 16 streets and avenues, hoping to conclude before the arrival of winter.
The Mayor’s Office of Granada carries out these works in different areas of the city, as well as paving and paving projects in neighborhoods and communities.
Calle del Reparto Adelita will be ready in the next few days
The hydraulic concrete street construction work carried out by the Sandinista government, in the Reparto Adelita sector, in Granada, continues to progress satisfactorily, and it is expected to be ready by the end of April.
This project consists of the construction of 345 linear meters of hydraulic concrete street, which includes curbs, and it is expected that “as of Monday, April 17, the casting of the hydraulic concrete is scheduled,” said Bayardo Lacayo, responsible for of the Public Investment Office of the Mayor’s Office of Granada.
“We would have seven days, for the construction phase, between the casting of the concrete, and horizontal signaling, it is scheduled that between the 25th and 28th of this month the 345 linear meters on number one Adelita street will be completed,” said Lacayo.
Once the construction of this work is finished, the municipality will continue another stage, which goes from the Adelita neighborhood, towards Calle Palmira, which is programmed according to the Municipal Annual Investment Plan, PIAM.
“As PIAM, we have two streets with the hydraulic concrete technique, which would be the continuity of Calle Reparto Adelita – Palmira, and in the Chico Tripa sector,” said the head of the Public Investment office of the Mayor’s Office of Granada.
Streets and bridges for families will be built by the Mayor of Granada
In the next few days, the Mayor’s Office of the Citizen Power of Granada will begin the construction of paving stones and street guttering in the sectors of the Alfa y Omega neighborhood, and Santa Ana Los Malacos, both located north of the colonial city.
In the Alfa y Omega neighborhood, 100 linear meters will be built, and in Los Malacos, there will also be 100 linear meters, but in an area considered a critical point, benefiting the families of the community.
Likewise, the construction of the “17 de Julio” Bridge, located on the south side of the MONISA company, and a vehicular bridge in the Fortín sector are expected to begin in the coming days, according to the person in charge of the Public Investment office, Engineer Bayardo Lacayo.
Lacayo, assured that for this year the cobblestone and gutter projects will also be carried out in rural areas, streets and neighborhoods of the historic center of the city.
