Mayer: “Leave all options open”

In an interview with the ORF, the 32-year-old from Carinthia said on Wednesday that he was enjoying his retirement: “I have a lot more free time, but I’m on the skis privately, I’m doing ski tours, it’s to be enjoyed.” At ORF’s request Sports reporter Adi Niederkorn, whether retirement might also be a vacation, said Mayer, leaving all options open.

When asked whether a return to the Ski World Cup was no longer a hundred percent impossible, Mayer said he was satisfied with how things are at the moment: “It’s good, I want to leave some things open in the future.” Of course I will He was often asked regarding a comeback, Mayer said, “There is certainly no comeback for this season”. If there is no comeback, Mayer might also imagine a career as a consultant or trainer in skiing.
