The new amounts of family and social benefits allocated from May
Family and social benefits such as RSA, the activity bonus or family allowances have been increased to 5.6%. since April 2022. This revaluation occurs each year on April 1, and is effective from May. This level of revaluation depends on the annual change in prices, excluding tobacco, and also on the exceptional 4% revaluation of benefits and social minima that took place in July 2022.
Tobacco price increase
Some packages of cigarettes will see their prices increase from May 1st. This is particularly the case of the Lucky Strike which increases by 40 cents and therefore goes to 11 euros. Same thing for Dunhill Red Select or Rothmans Blue. Other brands are affected by a price increase such as the Austin, the Elixyr red or the pack of 20 Vogue L’Optimum Gold cigarettes. The average price of a pack of cigarettes should reach 11 euros in January 2024.
