– Daily limits using ATMs: 20,000 pounds as a maximum per day, whether for withdrawals or deposits.
A number of bank employees told Masrawy that traffic patrols of employees will pass over the Eid al-Adha holiday to feed ATMs more than once a day, according to the needs of each machine and the intensity of pressure on its use, which varies from one region to another.
Before the end of last year, the Central Bank began easing restrictions on daily cash withdrawals from bank branches to allow individual and corporate customers to deal with their accounts more flexibly, with great flexibility on electronic payment using bank cards (direct debit, credit, and prepaid) and other digital channels such as wallets. smart.
The Central Bank of this decision aims to change the society’s culture from relying on cash and shifting to electronic payment in accordance with the country’s strategy, Egypt 2030, and in line with global banking developments, as well as a precautionary measure to avoid infection with the Corona virus, given that paper money is one of the tools that transmit the virus.
