Maximizing Outreach: Bloc Québécois Advertisements During Quebec’s Summer Season

You did not dream: advertisements for the Bloc Québécois are indeed visible in Quebec and the surrounding area. The party wants to take advantage of the increase in traffic on Quebec roads during the summer season to reach as many people as possible.

“It’s something we’ve been doing every year since 2019,” said Bloc leader Yves-François Blanchet. General advertisements like these allow us to reach a segment of the population that is not as politicized or not attracted by the news. »

The leader maintains that billboards have been deployed in several regions, such as Estrie, Gaspésie, Capitale-Nationale, Chaudière-Appalaches and Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean, where the Bloc hopes to make gains at the expense of the Liberal Party of Canada for a future election.

“A minority government is always one vote away from an election. […] The level of electoral alert is not very high for the moment, but we always want to be ready, ”explains Mr. Blanchet.

Alternative

The latest polls show a rise in power for the Conservative Party of Canada in recent months.

Announced nearly ten points ahead of the Liberals, the political party would take a serious option on the final victory if an election is called.

The Bloc Québécois would also have a shot at playing in several ridings in Quebec where the fight was tough in 2021, such as Châteauguay-Lacolle, where it was defeated by 12 votes, Quebec or Brome-Missisquoi.

“Current figures put the Bloc ahead in Quebec. If we want to prevent the majority election of the Liberals or the Conservatives, it is really the Bloc Québécois that we have to vote for. […] A scenario where we end up with a minority government and the Bloc, which has a form of balance of power, is clearly the best scenario for protecting Quebec’s interests,” says Yves-François Blanchet.
