DOHA: Transport and residency services are at the forefront of the Ministry of Interior’s mobile application Metrash 2.
At present, 330 services are provided through Metrash-2 for residents, non-residents, visitors and companies. Most people are looking for transportation services. Lt. Abdul Rahman Abdullah Jamal, Officer of the Electronic and Internet Department of the Information System General Directorate of the Ministry of Home Affairs stated that residency services are in the second place.
Metrash uses the most advanced technologies to further improve the services.
Modernization and improvement of existing services in Metrash 2 is done in collaboration with various departments of the Ministry. The aim is to provide easy access to government services to the public in the shortest possible time. One of the important features of Metrash-2 is to send alert messages to users regarding the expiry of their official documents.
The documents are delivered to the users in cooperation with Qatar Post. Within the e-wallet on Metrash 2, the user has the facility to digitally store all their documents, including their Qatar ID and driving license.
Launched in 2012, Metrash 2 provides services in 6 languages including Malayalam for citizens and non-residents.
