Max Verstappen wins the 2024 F1 Bahrain Grand Prix. Sergio Checo Pérez came second and Carlos Sainz with a great third place, including the top 3.

Both Mercedes with George Russell leading both drivers of the German brand, in 5th and 7th place respectively, and McLaren, with Lando Norris in 6th and Oscar Piastri in 8th, disappointed when performing during the race.

Aston Martin was probably the most French disappointment with Fernando Alonso and Lance Stroll decidedly behind the others, in 9th and 10th respectively.

Sparks flew late in the race between Visa Cash App RB teammates Daniel Ricciardo and Yuki Tsunoda, however this had no impact on the points as they finished 13th and 14th in the order.

Saturday’s victory was the eighth consecutive victory for Verstappen. The streak dates back to September last year following he achieved an F1 record 10 wins in a row last year.

At the start of F1’s longest season with 24 races, Verstappen is already showing signs that he might repeat his near-perfect record from 2023 when the Dutchman won 19 of 22 races to claim his third consecutive championship.
