Max Verstappen “Red Bull F1 needs to work on the reliability of the RB18″[F1-Gate .com]

F1 World Champion Max Verstappen says Red Bull Racing needs to tackle the RB18’s credibility setback to avoid potential pitfalls.

Max Verstappen has won all three races completed in 2022, but has retired in second place in Bahrain and Australia due to power unit issues.

At the F1 Miami Grand Prix, after a prolonged gearbox change, hydraulic problems caused Max Verstappen to run only one lap of the installation lap for the second practice run, and preparations for the weekend were interrupted.

Sergio Perez, a teammate who retired with Max Verstappen in Bahrain, also had a sensor problem at the F1 Miami Grand Prix. He was forced to slow down temporarily and took about 7 seconds in two laps to resolve.

“Many problems on Friday forced us to compromise on weekends, especially in qualifying,” said Max Verstappen.

“Of course, everything went well at the start in the race, but it could have been the other way around. Of course, if you missed almost the entire Friday, it’s fair enough to say what you can do about it, right?”

“We need to have a really positive weekend without any problems.”

“Of course, I think Imola could do that, but it’s still a bit too variable.”

“We need to be more reliable and more in control of things.”

Max Verstappen says he is following Charles Leclerc by 19 points, but is encouraged by the pure speed of the RB18.

“As you can see, the car is fast. I’m very happy with it,” said Max Verstappen.

“If it’s reliable, it’s not good if it’s late.”
