In an undemonstrative, almost taciturn role, Damiens quickly finds his marks and the chemistry with his young partners pays off. Cécilia Rouaud practices a cheerful deadpan humor and signs often witty dialogues. The only downside is its somewhat dull production: this original scenario deserved a more inventive staging.
But in a landscape of fairly depressing frank comedies, the film stands out. So let’s not sulk our pleasure.
