Mavericks vs Thunder – predictions and odds for Sunday January 8 (Fade Dallas with Luka out)

The Dallas Mavericks are 8-2 in their last 10 games, which allows them to climb to 4th place in the Western Conference on the season.

Dallas is coming off a win over the New Orleans Pelicans on Saturday, but they are road underdogs once morest the Oklahoma City Thunder on Sunday night.

One of the main reasons is that Luka Doncic should remain on the bench for rest reasons, and the Mavs have struggled without him this season.

Dallas is 0-3 with Doncic out of the lineup this season, and while the Thunder are out of playoff contention right now, they’re 12-9 at home.

Can Shai Gilgeous-Alexander lead OKC to another victory?

I will support the Thunder here and not look back.

I don’t like losing a team because a player is missing, but Doncic does pretty much everything for Dallas.

The Mavericks have lost to the Houston Rockets by nine, the Chicago Bulls by 29 and the Cleveland Cavaliers by one in all three games Doncic missed in the 2022-23 campaign.

The Thunder, like many young teams, are a much better home team, and they deserve some respect in this game.

Dallas is also the worst team in the NBA once morest the spread, so it wouldn’t be surprising to see the Mavs not covering this game.
