Mavericks, Kyrie Irving Should Be at Training Camp – NBAPassion

Great news for the Dallas Mavericks, Kyrie Irving, recently had hand surgery, should be there for training campMarc Stein, who spoke at DLLS Mavs Podcast. The season of the Texans, vice champions NBA it would therefore open in the best possible way, recovering one of their spearheads.

Stein explained on the podcast: “At this point he hasn’t gotten medical clearance to play 5-on-5, but I’ve been told in general that he’s capable of doing it in time for training camp, so I don’t think there’s any concern.”

The Mavs front office couldn’t have heard better words. Especially if Irving himself, along with Luka Doncic, was the driving force of the team coached by Jason Kidd. Last season Irving collected 58 games, recording an average of 25.6 points, 5.2 assists and 5 rebounds per gameshooting 41.1% from three.

Irving was not only important on the field but also off it. Irving was in fact the fulcrum of Dallas’ run to the NBA Finals last June and was also fundamental for the arrival of Klay Thompson ai Mavericks quest’estate.

If Irving was crucial from a human point of view, the Mavs worked on a technical and economic level. Thompson also found himself offered Los Angeles Lakershowever, surpassed by Thompson’s possibility of have a starting role in a contender. Also crucial was the change of perspective: from sixth man on a limping team like the Golden State Warriors, to NBA vice-champions.

The Mavs used the offseason to bolster a roster that collapsed in on itself at the NBA Finals. Thompson’s arrival, in addition to Naji Marshall e Quentin Grimesplus a whole season spent with PJ Washington e Daniel Gafford a roster, should help Dallas take a step forward from last season. They will need it since the Western Conference is a land without a master and there are several teams that are considered contenders.

This also means that Dallas needs a healthy, focused Irving, and it looks like they’re going to get him.
