Mauro Poggia’s candidacy for the Council of States was an open secret, it is now confirmed. On Wednesday evening, the delegates of the Geneva Citizens Movement (MCG) unanimously supported his candidacy for the federal elections this fall.
“After ten years in the Geneva government, the last of which as president, with the charge of departments of exceptional size, moreover in periods of health and institutional crises, Mauro Poggia will know better than anyone how to represent our canton in Bern, according to a press release. of the MCG. The assembly of delegates also validated the list of candidates for the National Council. The names will be communicated when it is next filed, the press release adds.
