The PRO celebrated this Saturday 20 years since its creation with a “patriotic locro” in the City of Buenos Aires in which space referents, officials and some 600 militants participated. Among them was the former president Mauricio Macriwhich left a signal for the internal opposition and a possible backup to the Buenos Aires president, Horacio Rodriguez Larreta.
“20 years after the birth of the PRO, today must be more than ever the representative of change that Argentina needs and stay by the side of the people at this critical moment,” Macri posted on his Twitter account. She accompanied the message with a photo in which in the foreground appears the head of the Buenos Aires government and he, behind, on a screen.

The former president participated through a video, as did the head of the party at the national level, Patricia Bullrichwho -like Rodríguez Larreta- is out to compete for the presidency in 2023.
Close to Larreta, they lowered the tone of Macri’s gesture: “It is his presence in the act for independence in the cradle of the PRO that is the City. Nothing more and nothing less. Very important that the founder is present”, they pointed to TN.
The act was headed by the president of Buenos Aires. “We have the best candidates in the PRO and we are going to support them in each place,” said Larreta.
“We must win to build hope in Argentina so that people believe in us again. We have a responsibility to get the country out of this moment. Let’s take charge because we know how to do it”, he added, as a harangue for the next elections.
Meanwhile, the Minister of Government of the City, Jorge Macriaffirmed that “next year will be difficult, but with a nice internal competition and for that reason the yellow should turn to feel”.
“We have to keep walking the streets so that everyone sees us. Must return to the triple crown, Nation, Province and Citybecause for the PRO it is the cornerstone to sustain the change we want. The unit will continue to holdbut the one that guarantees a north is the PRO”, he concluded.
