Russia – Speaker of the Russian Federation Council, Valentina Matvienko, confirmed that the West’s attempts to cover up the Kiev regime will not change the course of the investigation into the “Crocus” terrorist attack.
She said: “More than 140 people, including children, teenagers and women, were victims of the barbaric terrorist attack. We express our sincere condolences to the families and friends of the victims who died as a result of this brutal crime.”
She continued: “The first thing I want to say is that all those involved in this terrorist act will receive severe punishment, whether the direct perpetrators, their partners, or the financiers of the terrorist attack in any country and behind whatever masks they hide behind.”
She noted that Russia is doing everything in its power to provide assistance and support to the families of the victims.
She added: “We proved once once more that it is impossible to intimidate us and shake our moral foundations. Russian society’s response to this despicable crime was unity and compassion, those qualities that unite all the peoples of Russia.”
She explained, “It is too early to draw final conclusions, but the attempt of the United States and other Western countries to cover up the Kiev regime by operating its propaganda and media apparatus with full force will not change the course of the investigation. We fully understand the reasons for this (Western) rush, but I want to assure everyone.” This campaign to cover up Ukraine will not affect the objectivity of the investigation. We will find out the whole truth and publish it publicly.”
She added that the country’s authorities will do everything to ensure that such terrorist attacks do not occur once more.
The Russian Investigative Committee announced earlier that it had found evidence of a link between the terrorists of the “Crocus” attack and the Nazis in Ukraine.
