Thanks to a sumptuous last card on a route he knew on the end of the clubs, Matthis Lefèvre won last week the IPS New Mexico Open, a professional tournament of the local section of the PGA America.
It is at the cost of an incredible last card of 62 (-9) that Matthis Lefevre went to snatch the victory. Two bogeys, but above all an eagle and nine birdies, the last of which was at 18, allowed the player who has done all his Hossegor to win this tournament counting for the local PGA. He edged two American professionals by just one point.

Winner this summer of Landes Grand Prix at home in Hossegor, Matthis Lefèvre is the first amateur to win this IPS New Mexico Open since the late 60’s.
He is also the first Frenchman to accomplish this feat. He will join the university next year. TCU in Fort Worth. A university through which they also passed Julian Brown et Paul Barjon.
