The actor, who had paid tribute to Chandler’s interpreter in a joint press release with his Friends co-stars, published a personal message on Instagram.
Two weeks following paying tribute to him with his Friends co-stars, Matt LeBlanc published a moving message on his Instagram account this Tuesday to salute the memory of Matthew Perry, who died at the end of October at the age of 54.
“Matthew, it is with a heavy heart that I say goodbye to you,” writes Joey’s interpreter. “These years together are honestly some of my favorite years of my life.”
“It was an honor to share the stage with you and call you my friend. I will always smile thinking of you and I will never forget you. Ever,” he added. “Spread your wings and fly away my brother. You are finally free. I love you.”
With a note of humor
And the actor concludes with a note of humor: “I imagine you keep those 20 dollars that you owed me.”
“We are all totally devastated by the loss of Matthew,” the stars of Friends declared shortly following his death in a joint statement, assuring that they were “more than just film colleagues” but “a family”.
Matthew Perry was buried in the strictest privacy on November 3 in Forest Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Los Angeles. The ceremony lasted approximately two hours.
