Matthew Perry will ensure that future editions of his autobiography will not contain the passage on Keanu Reeves which surprised its readers a few months ago.
After its release last fall, the Friends actor’s book effectively shocked audiences by writing, “Why do original thinkers like River Phoenix and Heath Ledger die, while Keanu Reeves is still with us?”
Also referring to the death of his friend Chris Farley, the actor wrote further, “I blew a hole in the wall of Jennifer Aniston’s dressing room when I found out. ‘Keanu Reeves is still with us’. ”
Now, the Friends star has promised to remove those comments from future editions.
According to the Los Angeles Times, the 53-year-old actor said during a ‘Festival of Books’ panel discussion, “I said something stupid. It was mean. I chose that name. because I live on his street. I apologized to him publicly. Future versions of the book will not be named after him.”
The actor also insisted that he will apologize to Keanu if he crosses paths with him.
“If I cross his path, I will apologize,” he added. “That was stupid of me.”
