Lothar Matthäus is regarding his ex-club’s transfer efforts FC Bayern Munich somewhat surprised. “I wonder where all of the money is suddenly coming from,” said the record national player of “Bild”. “In the end, it was always said that you had less available, also because of the corona losses. That’s why you can’t reach an agreement with Lewandowski regarding an extension. Gnabry’s situation is unclear. And then Mané comes for up to 41 million euros, Laimer should come for 25, 30 million euros, De Ligt should come for 60, 70 or 80 million euros. The other players are watching,” said the 61-year-old.
The Bayern bosses had repeatedly emphasized that transfers of this magnitude might hardly be financed, especially because of the losses caused by the corona pandemic.
De Ligt is said to want to move to Bayern
The 22-year-old Dutch national soccer player Matthijs de Ligt (Matthew: “A super transfer if it works”), according to media reports Juventus Turin his desire to move to Munich have deposited. So far, Bayern have Midfielder Sadio Mane and Ryan Gravenberch and full-back Noussair Mazraoui. According to reports, Munich paid 32 million euros as a transfer fee for 30-year-old Mané to Liverpool FC. The amount might increase to 41 million with additional services.
For the 20 year old Gravenberch from ajax Amsterdam a fee of 18.5 million euros was due, which can be increased by up to 5.5 million euros through bonus payments. Noussair Mazraoui (Ajax) was a free transfer. Bayern also want to get RB Leipzig’s Konrad Laimer, the cost might be around 25 million euros.
