Mattar Al Tayer, Vice Chairman of the Dubai Sports Council and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the “Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Creative Sports Award”, one of the “Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives”, issued three decisions to form the committees of the 13th session of the Grand Prize, in terms of its value and the multiplicity of its categories, which are : The Technical Committee, the Jury Committee, and the Communication and Marketing Committee, whose work extends during the period from 2024 to 2025.
The technical committee is chaired by Dr. Khalifa Al-Shaali, member of the Award’s Board of Trustees (UAE), and includes Abdul Samad Hussein (UAE) as vice-chairman, and membership: Dr. Muhammad Al-Ansari (UAE), Mansour Al-Sabahi (UAE), Dr. Saad Shalaby (Egypt), and Dr. Naji Ismail, Director of the Technical Department of the Award, coordinated.
The arbitration committee is headed by Mustafa Baraf, member of the Board of Trustees (Algeria), and includes Ahmed Al-Osaimi, member of the Board of Trustees (Saudi Arabia) as vice-chairman, and members include: Tariq Al-Janahi (UAE), Maryam Bin Lahej (UAE), Adhari Moayed (UAE), and Dr. Naji Ismail, Director of the Technical Department of the Award, is a coordinator.
The Communication and Marketing Committee is chaired by Moza Al Marri, Secretary General of the Award (UAE), and includes Sarah Mohammed Al Mudharib (UAE) as Vice President, and members include: Walid Al Amiri (UAE), Adel Al Awadi (UAE), Sami Abdel Imam (Iraq), and Hossam Abu Al Fotouh, specialist. Head of the award and coordinator.
Mattar Al Tayer congratulated the heads and members of the committees for choosing to work during the 13th session of the award, and for achieving its great goals set by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Chairman of the Executive Council, patron of the award, and His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, MP. The second is for the Ruler of Dubai, Chairman of the National Olympic Committee and Chairman of the Award, in developing the sports sector in the Emirates, the Arab world and the world, and raising work from the level of achievements to the level of creativity in achievements, as well as honoring creators in a manner befitting their achievements. He also expressed his confidence that the 13th session will witness an increase in the pace of work. And greater excellence in developing and implementing work plans with the highest levels of quality that are commensurate with the name and status of the award, and the sound directives of His Highness the Award’s Patron and His Highness the President of the Award, which the Board of Trustees and the Award Committees are working to achieve, to develop sports work, advance achievements, and empower communities through sports.
Al Tayer confirmed in a press statement that “the 13th edition will include the achievements of individual Arab athletes, teams and institutions in many tournaments and sporting events that will be organized during the award’s period, most notably the Olympic and Paralympic Games in Paris this summer,” noting that the award is always working to achieve Monitoring and evaluating achievers in all competitive and discretionary categories and honoring them, and motivating the sports sector to adopt best practices and continuously searching for and nurturing talent, and qualifying them to be the best ambassadors for their countries and for Arab youth in general.
