The summer season is not only synonymous with outdoor festivals. On the Vaud Riviera, Montreux Jazz has been cultivating the art of intimacy since 1967, with concerts favoring exclusivity over gigantism. But in Montreux as elsewhere, the programming team is faced with the inexorable increase in fees requested by artists, while its gauge is not extensible.
