Mateusz Szwoch joined Ruch Chorzów from Wisła Płock. He has over 200 matches in the Ekstraklasa

Ruch is a great club, with traditions and a large fan base. His place is in the Ekstraklasa and I will do everything to get him back there, to refer to his successes. I am in training, I feel ready, although it is known that I will need some time to get to know the team. I think I will be at the coach’s disposal quickly – calms Mateusz Szwoch.

The footballer was born on March 19, 1993 in Starogard Gdański. Before signing a contract with the Blues, he played 218 matches at the Ekstraklasa level and scored 31 goals in the colours of Legia Warsaw, Arka Gdynia and Wisła Płock. He is the winner of the Polish Cup (Arka) and the Polish champion (Legia). Last season he played 33 times in Fortuna I league, scoring 3 goals.

The season has been going on for a month, but work on strengthening the team is not stopping. We were aware that our team still needs to be supplemented in the second line. Mateusz will strengthen the competition in the middle of the field, giving us an alternative in positions no. 6, 8 and 10. We are counting on his experience and ability– informs Ruch sports director and former team captain Tomasz Foszmańczyk.

Mateusz is 180 cm tall and weighs 73 kg. He was given the number 27 in Ruch, which he will wear until June 30, 2025and his contract has an option to extend for one season. This is exactly the 11th new player in the club at Cicha Street.
