Ideas that, today, in front of a football match, become questionable, debatable, even wrong. The municipality of Udine has in fact decided not to sponsor the Italy-Israel football match, which will be played on Monday 14 October at the Stadio Friuli-Bluenergy Stadium. The reason is to be found in the outcry of the Udine Palestine Committee, which had cried scandal. Thus the municipal council, in order not to annoy the maximalist left, considered that “the choice to sponsor the match would have been divisive, since Israel is a state at war”.
A decision on which the center-right has not remained silent. “The Municipality of Udine never misses an opportunity to distinguish itself in terms of partisanship and in its ability to fuel one-way divisions, always on the side of the most extreme positions of the left – underlined, in a note, the mayor of Monfalcone, Anna Maria Cisint -.
