Most RTS games have a high barrier to entry. Often, the sheer amount of things going on onscreen at the same time is enough to make your head feel like it’s regarding to explode. When I first sat down to play Homeworld 3’s tutorial, I felt like I needed to lie down following five minutes. Initially, like the mothership you’re trying to defend, you’ll be bombarded. Not using missiles or lasers, but facts regarding the game, 20 different camera options, and more. After a few minutes, however, it’s easy to find your groove, and during our hour-long playthrough, it felt as if we’d picked up enough money to invest in this beloved franchise. In this session, we didn’t delve too deep into the Homeworld 3 story, but instead focused entirely on the Wargame co-op mode, which allows you and up to two friends to take on some challenges, earn rewards for each mission you complete and build upgrades , until you face the final boss. Essentially, it’s a cross between RTS and Roguelike, and not only does it feel like a great way to get you started without throwing a bunch of lore at you, but once you beat the game’s story mode, it’s also sure to be You keep playing with the attraction. Here’s an ad: If you’re developing your space strategy, similar to Stellaris, Homeworld 3 should jump right from the start. I’m not one to often travel to the far reaches of the galaxy, but I found that the game transported me into the unknown far reaches of space. The graphics are good enough to serve as a desktop background, and I especially like Homeworld’s sci-fi branding. It’s unique from the ship design to the animations when entering hyperspace, making it feel like you’re not just watching two spaceships blow each other up to pieces, but that you’re actually trying to defend your homeworld from Get rid of some part of space in evil. Not only are these ships beautiful to look at, but once you’ve amassed enough resources, you’ll be able to adorn yourself with a fleet. From the smallest scout ship to the mighty beam assault frigate, each ship is unique in how it attacks and moves. You’ll quickly get used to what kind of warship you want to take to battle, whether it’s a slower, lumbering ship, or a speedy, wasp-like vessel. They all have a purpose, and really to survive, you’re going to want to pack something. There’s a bit of a learning curve in Homeworld 3, and while it can be easy, there are some options that I completely leave out the entire playtime because they look like a can of worms that I don’t want to open. I can’t really say that Homeworld 3 is a strategy game that will appeal to gamers who’ve never put the three letters R, T, and S together before, but it’s one that looks as if it’s an existing fan of the genre An experience worth noting. Whether you played the first game or just want to explore a new sci-fi universe, Homeworld 3 looks promising right now. Whether or not it will stay around is unknown, but if you like watching spaceships explode and have always wanted your own space fleet, it might be worth your time. Here is an ad:
