Down with the masks in Halo

This is actor Pablo Schreiber (Lorelei, The Wire) who will don the armor of the most famous Spartan in the universe for the purposes of this television series. If he were to spend most of his screen time with the big bronze visor helmet on his head, the show’s plot would have the character of Master Chief reveal his face—a first for officially recognized media. linked to the franchise Halo.

« I think we embarked on a character story, a personal story explains Kiki Wolfkill, executive producer on the series, in an interview for IGN. « And once we had defined what the story would be, it was clear that we really had to see the person in the armor and the helmet.«

A decision that is sure to be controversial, yet necessary for the narrative purposes of the TV series. ” For some people it’s a moment they’ve been waiting for 20 years, and for others it’s hard to imagine. […] But for a story like this, it was really important to feel a connection with Master Chief in a different way, and that leads to showing his face. »

Nevertheless, let’s reassure the most hardcore fans: the series Halo takes place in a timeline separate from the official canon of the games, and the “true” face of Master Chief should remain a mystery… For how much longer?
