Massive police action in Trondheim – “firearms” were the umbrella

The building has been searched without any findings

At 5:31 p.m operations manager Einar Røstum told Adresseavisen that they had obtained video surveillance from the site, and that they were working to have this investigated.

He said a person matching the witness descriptions could be seen on one of the recordings, and that person was carrying an umbrella.

– But we are now working to investigate whether it is this person. It is not completely clear yet, he said.

Røstum said they have searched every room in the building without finding any weapons.

At 17.05 two civilian policemen got out of a civilian police car. They put on stab-proof vests.

The incident leader at the scene, Thor Inge Oxholm Aas, said at 5 p.m. that they had two independent witnesses who told of a person with a hood and a weapon who entered the building.

– We act on the basis that it could be a person with evil intentions, he said.

He specified that the blockades would be maintained until the action was finished and the police considered the area safe.

They also carried out several intelligence searches to find out if the messages were true.

– We have control over civilians and control on the spot, emphasizes Aas.

Operations manager Røstum said that they took the messages very seriously.

Want to get out of the building

At 16.45: Adresseavisen’s photographer reported that there were people who wanted to get out of the building that the police were searching.

The person must have entered the building

The information they had was that a person should have entered a building with a weapon.
