Since the early hours of the morning, senior officers of the National Police, the National Directorate for Drug Control (DNCD) and the Public Ministry (MP) have deployed a large operation in search of Joel Ambioris Pimetel García (La J), allegedly responsible for the threats issued once morest the Attorney General of the Republic Miriam Germán weeks ago.
According to reports, the authorities commanded by the director of the PN, Eduardo Alberto Then; DNCD Vice Admiral José Cabrera Ulloa; and the deputy attorney Yeni Berenice Reinoso, would have coordinated joint operations in different areas of Santiago de los Caballeros with the intention of locating “La J”.
La J is designated as the leader of a criminal network that operates and controls the Dominican prison system.
