Kirchdorf an der Krems – Eleven fire brigades were deployed from Monday to evening on the Kleiner Priel (Kirchdorf district) in Upper Austria to extinguish a forest fire. 116 people, plus mountain rescue, the Red Cross, the police, the army and the Ministry of the Interior, each with two helicopters, were involved in the “massive firefighting operation,” said district fire department commander Helmut Berc of the APA.
