According to official sources indicated to Infobae, the flames broke out on the ground floor and first floor of the building belonging to the Edesur company, which has a frontage of 25 meters and a depth of 40 meters. Due to the incident, several power outages have been recorded in the area. There are at least 50,000 users without electricity, the majority in Almagro, Caballito and Parque Chacabuco. The AySA lifting station is also affected due to lack of energy and the company requests to make rational use of the service.

The incident was reported to the emergency department at 2:51 p.m. and personnel from Neighborhood Police Station 6B were quickly dispatched to the scene. Upon arrival, they observed the spread of flames and the presence of the City Firefighters was requested, who arrived minutes later and proceeded to evacuate both the affected substation and the neighboring home.
