Jeddah: A massive drug bust at the Jeddah International Airport in Saudi Arabia. 1,78,274 Captagun multipliers imported through Jeddah airport were seized.

Drugs were found hidden inside boxes containing beehives. Drugs hidden inside the beehives were found during the search conducted by the police including dogs. The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority said it has arrested two people who smuggled the drug into Saudi Arabia.

The Saudi Department of Transport seized many vehicles that violated the law

Riyadh: The Saudi Transport Department is on the scene by tightening the inspection of vehicles. Several vehicles found violating the law were seized. Last month, 43,429 vehicles were seized by the Saudi Public Transport Authority.

Employing drivers before obtaining a driver card, using the vehicle for service without an operating card, placing decorative items and stickers inside and outside the buses that are not approved by the authority, and not having documents for movement of goods are the main violations found on the part of vehicles.

Most of the violations were found in goods transport vehicles. Buses and taxis are next. In June, Public Transport Authority teams conducted 2,14,923 inspections in the land transport sector in collaboration with the concerned departments. Of these, 2,13,266 checks were conducted on buses, taxis and lorries with Saudi registration.

618 foreign registered vehicles were also checked. 1039 inspections were conducted in the establishments operating in the transport sector. 1071 inspections and 13 field visits to railway stations were carried out in the field of maritime transport. During the inspections conducted by the Saudi Public Transport Authority teams, 41,355 violations were found on the part of buses, lorries and taxis. 2074 violations were also registered through automatic checks using cameras.
