NNA – Matn – The “Tashnag” party organized a massive demonstration in front of the Azerbaijani embassy in Lebanon in the town of Ain Aar – central Matn, in protest against “the genocide and ethnic cleansing carried out by Azerbaijan in Artsakh against its Armenian population,” amid a heavy deployment of security forces in the vicinity of the embassy. But a problem arose between the demonstrators and the security forces, which led to 20 injuries among the demonstrators after a stampede between the two teams.
Thousands of Armenian demonstrators participated in the demonstration to demand “respect for human rights and guaranteeing the right of the people of Artsakh to self-determination.”

The demonstrators carried banners and chanted slogans denouncing the Azerbaijani policy and the repeated attacks on Armenians in Artsakh, so the security forces fired tear gas bombs at them in an attempt to disperse them.
