Al-Marsad newspaper: Intellectual property respect specialist at the Saudi Authority for Intellectual Property, Salem Al-Mutairi, revealed the case of one of the compensation cases for a violation represented in the theft of a tweet, in which the compensation amounted to 37 million riyals.

Al-Mutairi told the Ya Hala program that stealing the tweet has penalties, which are a fine of 250,000 riyals, up to 500,000 riyals, and imprisonment, in addition to compensation for the owner of the stolen tweet, and the value of compensation is open, as determined by the judge.

He continued that the case in which the compensation was decided at 37 million riyals began when one of the tweeters violated the copyright law of another, and the damages and losses were limited and the value of compensation was estimated at the aforementioned amount.
