A gunman opened fire at a grocery store in Buffalo, New York, killing 10 people, according to a local newspaper.
In the details, the American police confirmed that 10 people were killed by an armed man wearing a protective shield and carrying a powerful rifle, while 3 others were injured, two of them in critical condition, outside and inside a grocery store on Jefferson Street, according to the newspaper “The Buffalo News”.
“Horror film”
The police official who was at the scene added that a massacre took place in the supermarket, stressing that what happened was like a “horror movie,” as he put it.
While the newspaper reported two sources that one of the deceased was a recently retired police officer in Buffalo, he worked in security at the store.
Five bodies were also found in the parking lot, according to police information.
70 shots at once
In turn, the store’s operations manager, Shawnell Harris, explained to the newspaper, that she heard gunshots and ran to the back door and saw the shooter, who she described as a white man in army camouflage clothing.
She added that she heard regarding 70 shots at once.
It is noteworthy that the police detained the killer, without revealing the reason for the attack.
A video clip also spread on Twitter, showing a detainee in police custody outside the crime scene, without confirming whether he was really the perpetrator.
