A Massachusetts man won $2 million in the lottery, and now he plans to use his huge prize for his retirement savings. The funny thing is that, at first, the player had not even realized that so much money had been withdrawn.

David Watts of Holbrook won the $2 million prize in the instant scratch-off game called ‘$2,000,000 50X Cashword’ on Wednesday, the Massachusetts State Lottery said in a statement.

Watts purchased the winning ticket at the T Square Food Shop at 31 North Franklin St. The convenience store is expected to receive a $20,000 bonus just for selling the ticket.according to a statement from the lottery.

Watts initially thought the ticket only had a $2,000 prize, but later discovered two additional words and a 2X multiplier.

The winner opted to receive their prize in the form of a one-time payment of $1.3 million dollars, before taxes.

Watts plans to put her earnings toward her retirement savings.

The ‘$2,000,000 50X Cashword’ scratch-off game is like a crossword board where you have to scratch. If you discover two or more complete words, then you win the prize indicated on the ticket.

There is also a multiplier scratch box where it can be revealed if you multiply your prize by 1, 2, 5, 10 or 50.
