Massa will have a unity photo with the governors

Dressed as a candidate, Sergio Massa will set foot on Tucuman soil once more on September 9 when he is received by Juan Manzur. The postcard in which other provincial chiefs would participate will serve to send signals of unity and support for the ruling party’s candidate, following the internal frictions that generated the rudeness and the lack of compliance with the fixed sum promoted by Massa himself.

Manzur will not be alone, but Osvaldo Jaldo (elected governor of Tucuman) will be present and the presence of other northern leaders is expected. The move seeks in turn to surround the candidate of the ruling party who has been seen campaigning alone. In many northern provinces, Tucumán among them, the LLA candidate, Javier Milei, comfortably won, which set off alarm bells in the Massista command. Salta, where Gustavo Sáenz (Massa’s historical ally) governs, was also one of the territories where the liberal candidate won easily.

In the midst of inflationary turbulence and with Cristina and Alberto out of the campaign, Massa seeks to relaunch for October with the aim of not only retaining the votes of Juan Graobois, but also to sneak into a ballottage that stretches the fight until October displacing Patricia Bullrich to third place on the podium.

Massa had his tour of the north together with leaders prior to the PASO, although Javier Milei prevailed in many provinces. The new visit of the minister-candidate aims to adjust the link with the territorial heads who, this time, might provide him with the necessary votes to reach a second round.
