The presidential candidate of Union for the Homeland Sergio Massa invited the Argentine ambassador to Brazil, Daniel Sciolito be part of his team as “special advisor” to honor of the Ministry of Economy, following the complicated closure of officialism lists.
The former Buenos Aires governor, who saw his intentions to compete for the Casa Rosada frustrated, was integrated into the Economy portfolio as Special Advisor for the Ministry’s International Agenda, and “He will add his experience to strengthen an economic diplomacy strategy for Argentina,” ministry sources told PERFIL.
The appointment “reinforce the international political dimension of the Ministry” and its mission will be “contribute with actions and proposals to position the Argentine Republic in the international context through its differential factors, such as the productive and service sectors, national talent, culture and tourist destinations”, it was officially explained.
Alberto Fernández and Daniel Scioli sought to iron out rough edges following the agreement for the PASO
scioli too will have the task of “involving the different protagonists of the national reality that can make a contribution to consolidate the objective of achieving ‘More Argentina in the world and more world in Argentina'”, said the Ministry.
Scioli’s integration into Massa’s team was announced three days following the meeting they both had at the door of the Ministry of Economy following the dramatic closing of the electoral lists of Union for the Fatherland.
On June 23, Massa established himself as the “unity” candidate of the main ones in spaces that make up the ruling party and Daniel Scioli had to drop his presidential candidacy like the Interior Minister, Wado de Pedro.
