Expectations before the premiere of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness grow as the next May 6 approaches. And in the framework of Cinemacom that is celebrated these days in Las Vegas, Marvel Studios has presented an epic preview showing the first minutes of the film starring Benedict Cumberbatch.
An appetizer initially intended only for a lucky few but from which important revelations have emerged.
As reported Slashfilm, this 15-minute trailer begins by showing debris floating in a purple sky. In this apocalyptic setting appears a Strange with his hair tied up in a ponytail (known as Defender Strange) and running alongside a new character: the America Chavez from Xochtl Gómez.
Seeing how easily the ice has been shaken off, Marvel’s Sorcerer Supreme once once more uses his magical resources to once once more encase the creature in a force field. But it is too strong for Strange, who cannot hold it and the monster manages to break free of the spell. In the heat of the battle, both the sorcerer and Chavez can be seen trying to reach what looks like a blue stone, which, despite its unknown properties, seems destined to fulfill a certain purpose.
Strange, willing to kill Chavez
Right following, the sorcerer apologizes to his young companion and tells her that “this is the only way”. Willing to sacrifice the heroine for the greater good, this Strange attempts to absorb the powers of a terrified America Chavez to save the universe.
“But we’re friends,” he blurts out to Strange, who is convinced that he is doing what he does for the noblest of causes. And while he tries to explain that his sacrifice is worth it, the creature attacks Strange in the chest this time. Seeing this as the perfect opportunity, Chavez tries to escape, but ends up falling into the clutches of the monster.
However, following the young woman cries out in panic, the heroine’s eyes turn completely blue and her powers reach their full splendor. Meanwhile, battered by her wound and finding himself on the verge of death, the sorcerer ends up throwing some powerful magic rings with which he hopes to be able to cut off the creature’s arms.

Wong, Salvador
And following that, Wong enters the scene, the current Sorcerer Supreme -as confirmed Spider-Man: No Way Home (Spider-Man: No way home) – willing to fix everything. Using a powerful and magical whip, he manages to stop the dark being while Strange appears to be unconscious.
After the master of the mystic arts eventually regains consciousness, he joins his friend and partner in the fray. Using magic, Strange finds himself determined to launch a pole into the creature’s eye, managing to rip it out of its skull.

Vishaniti’s book and real nightmares
After this succession of events, Chavez confesses to Strange and Wong that he comes from another universe and it is revealed that they need to find the so-called Book of Vishaniti, the ‘white’ or luminous version of the Darkhold what’s wrong with it Wanda Maximoff which, as they say, is unattainable.
Although, such a feat, the young heroine and the master of the mystic arts managed to perform it in another universe, but their triumph was cut short when the demon they faced reached them. “I thought he would protect me, but he didn’t,” Chavez confesses. Dismayed, the sorcerer replies that this was the battle that occurred in his dream.
However, such a dream is real, all nightmares are real, America explains to Strange. “Somewhere it is real,” insists the young woman. Given the situation, Wong suggests that she go to Kamar Taj with them, while the master of the mystic arts asks for a vote of confidence despite the fact that his other self tried to kill her.
Wanda and family
Soon they end up realizing that what is at stake is not sorcery, but witchcraft. It is precisely then that Wong asks “Do we know anyone who has faced something similar?”. “I think so,” Strange replies in a clear allusion to the Scarlet Witch.
Next, Wanda Maximoff makes an appearance, who meets her children in the same house that appeared in WandaVision, assuring them that “family is forever”. But unfortunately for her, he discovers that it is only a dream.
Shortly following, Strange bursts onto the scene to ask for help from Wanda, who has left magic behind. In her attempt to recruit her to come with him to Kamar-Taj, the sorcerer asks her what she knows regarding the multiverse. That’s when the trailer shows glimpses of the rest of the film, revealing an evil variant of Doctor Strange, showing the third eye on his forehead wide open.
