We learn that one of the executives of the games Deus Ex and Guardians of the Galaxy is joining the development of the next opus of Mass Effect.

He doesn’t really have a name yet, but he already has a screenwriter. Mass Effect 5 (this is only a working title) will be entitled to an experienced screenwriter, Mary DeMarle.

A known and loved name to lead the Mass Effect storyline

After passing by more than fourteen years at Eidos MontrealMary DeMarle joins the development team for the next Mass Effect at BioWare. Her work is well known, since she was notably narrative director and lead screenwriter of Deux Ex : Human Revolution et Deus Ex : Mankind Divided. She had held the same role on the project Guardians of the Galaxy, before leaving the Quebec studio. The oldest among you will also remember his work on the cults Myst III: Exile and Myst IV: Revelation. From now on, we know that she will be Senior Narrative Director on the next Mass Effect.

Oh, hey !

I’m very excited to let you know that Mary DeMarle will be joining the Mass Effect team as Senior Narrative Director. You’ve seen his work in Guardians of the Galaxy and Deus Ex (to name a few!). She is awesome.

A very mysterious game

Still at the prototype stage, the next Mass Effect should take up the story following the episodes of the cult saga. We therefore hope once more a very detailed and cluttered RPGpresenting us with a galaxy full of mysteries, creatures, NPCs … The there are still many theoriessome even evoking a Shepard’s return (denied for the moment by BioWare), but we still know very little regarding the game. not even an exit window yet

Mass Effect 5 is set to release on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series.
