Manama > More relaxations in UAE from Wednesday on Covid restrictions. Masks are prohibited in closed rooms and public places. However, masks are required in hospitals, churches and public transport. All food service providers, coronavirus patients and suspected cases must wear masks.
Masks can be worn in schools and public places. Masks are not mandatory on flights, but masks may be made mandatory by respective airlines if required.
Quarantine of covid sufferers has been made for five days. No quarantine or PCR testing is required for contacts. The Abu Dhabi National Disaster Management Committee also announced that the duration of the green pass has been increased from 14 to 30 days. As per Green Pass, PCR test is mandatory for unvaccinated every 7 days and every 30 days for vaccinated.
No more daily declaration of covid cases. Updates are available only on the official website of Ministry of Health and Disaster Management Authority.
The UAE is withdrawing the mask requirement following two and a half years. Restrictions are being eased once morest the backdrop of low new Covid cases and deaths. The first case of Covid was reported in the UAE on January 20, 2020.
