Around 2:30 pm on the 18th, a 61-year-old self-employed man who was having business talks regarding crypto assets in the common area called the lounge on the 29th floor of a tower apartment in Nambanaka, Naniwa-ku, Osaka, suddenly entered. A masked man said, “Give me the money,” sprayed what appeared to be pepper spray, and hit him in the face and head.
According to the police, the masked man stole the cash and ran away, and the man said he was robbed of regarding 70 million yen in cash.
According to investigative sources, a subsequent investigation found that a resident of the apartment building who was the man’s business partner was suspected of being involved in the incident, and was arrested on suspicion of robbery and injury.
The arrested resident is believed to have been with a masked man just before the incident and is suspected of inviting him into the apartment.
Police are still investigating the whereregardings of the masked man who escaped as a robbery injury case.
