Mask requirement, Green Pass & Co: These Corona rules apply from today in 5 minutes

The FFP2 mask requirement indoors is largely falling. As of today, Holy Saturday, the FFP2 mask requirement only applies “in areas that everyone must visit,” announced the Minister of Health John Rauch (Greens) on Thursday. These include, for example, supermarkets, pharmacies, public transport, hospitals and nursing homes. The 3G rule also only applies in hospitals and nursing homes. The regulation is valid until July 8th.

Green passport is extended

There is also a change in the green pass. For example, the period of validity for those who have been vaccinated three times has been extended from nine to twelve months. The Green Passport is valid for six months for those who have been vaccinated twice and those who have recovered. There is currently no general recommendation for a fourth vaccination.

FFP2 mask requirement

The FFP2 mask requirement still applies

  • in all public transport and the associated stops
  • in customer areas of essential trade (supermarkets, pharmacies, post and bank branches etc.)
  • in hospitals, retirement and nursing homes. (3G also applies here)

Green pass

  • The validity is extended to 12 months for those who have been vaccinated three times
  • The Green Passport is valid for 6 months for people who have been vaccinated twice and who have recovered
