Maserati GranTurismo 2024: three screens for the cabin | Automotive News

Maserati GranTurismo 2024 – Interior design

• Maserati has unveiled photos of the interior of its new 2024 GranTurismo.

• Three massive screens are integrated into the traditional design of the dashboard.

• Two petrol models, as well as an electric variant, will initially make up the range.

Last October, Maserati unveiled the new generation of its flagship model, the GranTurismo. At that time, the company had only shown the exterior of its product. Thus, we did not really know what look would take the cocoons of the Modena, Trofeo (petrol) and Folgore (electric) versions.

Recently, the manufacturer shared photos of the cabin, showing the direction it was taking in terms of design and technology. While the cocoon retains its 2+2 configuration, the dashboard takes a step forward with the integration of three screens.

Fortunately, it’s rather well done as they integrate well with the more traditional shape of the dashboard. In other words, no floating screen spoils the sauce.

In front of the driver, we will find a 12.2-inch unit for the instruments. As for the multimedia system, it will benefit from a 12.3-inch surface, while an 8.8-inch screen, located just below, will group together the functions of the air conditioning system. The graphics of the screens will vary depending on the model chosen. The photos shared are those of the living environment of the Trofeo, the variant with a more sporting vocation.

Considering that the digital clock can display different data, one might argue that there are four screens on board.

Some forms of buttons still seem present, especially on the steering wheel, but the uncluttered presentation tells us that several features will only be accessible from the screen. The steering wheel of course has the vehicle start button, as well as the driving modes button.

The cabin will be complemented by a Faber audio system with 14 speakers as standard, 19 as an option. The head-up display will be offered as an option. Quite frankly, at the price demanded for this vehicle (around $200,000), these are the kinds of things that should be included.

The model is due to show up in the spring, but only in gasoline configuration. The electric variant will follow later in the year, as will a convertible version.

Mechanically, a 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 will be in the spotlight, offering 490 horsepower with the Modena version, 550 horsepower with the Trofeo. The electric livery should offer a cavalry of 760 horsepower thanks to the presence of three electric motors. A 92.5 kWh battery should allow a range of between 450 and 500 kilometers.

Of course, we will have more details when this model will land on our roads.
