Maryland defensive back Tarheeb Still announced on social media Monday that he will enter the 2024 NFL Draft and forgo his final season of collegiate eligibility. He is the first Terp to do so this offseason.

“After much contemplation and discussion with my family and coaches, I’ve decided to take the next step in my football journey,” Still said in his announcement. “I will not be returning to the University of Maryland as I will be declaring for the NFL draft.”

He did not specify whether he will participate in the Music City Bowl on Dec. 30.

Still put together a strong four seasons in College Park. He started at cornerback as early as his freshman year, earning an All-Big Ten honorable mention in 2020. Still also established himself as a potent punt returner, with his most memorable highlight coming on a 92-yard punt return touchdown in the 2021 Pinstripe Bowl.

As a senior this past fall, Still totaled 45 tackles, two pass breakups and, most notably, five interceptions. He was one of only 15 players nationally to register at least five interceptions this season, being named to the All-Big Ten second team.
