Maryam Al Hammadi: The Arab Government Excellence Award is a quantum leap in development

Maryam Al Hammadi, Secretary-General of the Arab Government Excellence Award, confirmed that the award was launched by the Arab Administrative Development Organization, at the League of Arab States under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and in cooperation with The UAE government has constituted a qualitative leap in government development and administrative excellence in the Arab region, becoming an effective platform for exchanging experiences and developing capabilities and skills.

Al Hammadi said – in a press conference held by the Arab Administrative Development Organization on Sunday at its headquarters in Cairo about the award in its second session, in the presence of Marwan Al Zaabi, Deputy Secretary-General of the award, and Dr. Or individuals in the digital workshops organized by the award administration from all Arab countries, to introduce the award, its objectives, evaluation criteria, conditions and mechanism of participation.

On the purpose of the award, she said that it lies in the mutual benefit between Arab institutions, and in providing the best governmental service to the citizen, the investor and the foreigner residing on its lands. Knowing and disseminating the best practices and experiences in the Arab countries. She emphasized: We Arab governments and institutions benefit from them and develop our institutions for the better, by highlighting and highlighting these experiences.

While Dr. Al-Qahtani stressed the importance of the award in promoting a culture of government excellence and creating a new leadership thought in the Arab world, adopting the principles of excellence as a work approach and institutional culture, to bring about a qualitative leap in government work and improve the services provided.

He explained that the award includes 15 categories, 9 of which are for institutional awards and 6 for individual awards. Pointing out that the purpose of the award is to develop Arab institutions for the better and achieve development goals.

He expressed his aspiration for more participation in the award, through introductory seminars and workshops, because the purpose of the award is to develop Arab institutions. (wam)
