Sony is increasingly interested in the PC as a platform to host PlayStation games, and even if these ports take time to arrive, they are still very much expected at the turn. At the beginning of the year, God of War had achieved great numbers for its PC launch, and now it’s the turn of Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered to prove to the manufacturer that a general public was waiting for it on the PC.
Spidey a little weaker than Kratos
We do not yet have the sales figures for this PC port for Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered (although we know that it is the top seller on Steam over the past week), but we already know that it is doing well on Steam. He managed to peak at 66,436 concurrent players in a single dayas indicated by data from SteamDB.
A very good figure which is still lower than the beginnings of God of War on the same platform, which had achieved a day with 73,529 players for its launch last January.
The result is nonetheless admirable, since Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered signs the second best Steam launch for a PlayStation game. We are now waiting to see how Nathan Drake and company will manage on PC with Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection.
