A few days ago, Sony finally unveiled the first gameplay preview for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, one of its biggest exclusive releases this year.
As expected, many have already begun to wonder what new features will be brought to the franchise in its first exclusive game for the new generation. According to an article by The Washington Post, one of the innovations enabled by the PS5’s hardware is an exponential increase in map size, which will be about twice as large as the first game.
In terms of the size of the city, it’s double the size compared to ‘Spider-Man 1.
When you play in Queens, there’s a lot more of a neighborhood feel, smaller buildings, which is why the web wings work so well when traversing this area, where you can swing low to the ground if you want or you can fly.

It is worth noting that, despite Manhattan being back, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 will still have the neighborhoods of Queens, Brooklyn, among others. In addition, some previously released rumors state that the game may have a system of different dimensions (such as the more recent Ratchet and Clank), which would further increase its scope and gameplay and narrative possibilities.
Unfortunately, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 still doesn’t have a release date, it’s simply scheduled for fall 2023 (if not delayed), so we can only wait.

In April we saw reports that Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 should have a dimension system and today Insomniac itself revealed more details about what is one of the most anticipated games of 2023. According to the developer, Spider-Man 2 will be “a single player adventure”, which means that the game will not have a cooperative mode.

The clarification was given after a Twitter user questioned the developer if the game will have a cooperative mode. This means that only one player will be able to venture into Spider-Man’s world at a time to take on Venom in his upcoming PlayStation title.

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is due for release in Spring 2023, but Tony Todd, who will play Venom in the game, revealed that the game will be released in September during an interview earlier this year.

New rumors about Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 surfaced this week. Rumors claim that the game will bet on the Spiders multiverse and players will go through dimensions, in mechanics very similar to Ratchet & Clank: In Another Dimension.
The information came from youtuber “HipHopGamer”, which has a good track record of hits in the community. In a publication on his Twitter profile, the user stated that the new Spider game will have similar mechanics to the other adventure title from Insomniac Games.

The youtuber highlighted that this new mechanic “will raise the level of how the multiverse will happen in games”. The leaker also said that Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 will be “the most open and fluid experience in terms of graphics and gameplay of this generation”.

In December, developer Insomniac Games announced that Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 was slated for a winter or spring release.

Announced in September last year, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is already one of the most anticipated exclusives on PlayStation, but unfortunately, we haven’t had much news about the game since its reveal.
While Insomniac Games recently confirmed that the title release is still scheduled for 2023Sony seems to have changed its marketing strategy and preferred to keep its most acclaimed games secret, just as it did with God of War Ragnarok.
Although Sony has not indicated that it intends to hold a new event with news about its games, Tony Todd, an actor known for the Candyman franchise and who will voice the original Venom in Spider-Man 2, hinted that we may have news about teioso game coming soon.

Insomniac Games has confirmed that Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 remains scheduled for release in 2023.
After many players speculated that the game would be delayed due to not having received a new trailer so far, the studio’s official account brought new information about the development of the title.

Developed by Insomniac Games, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 will arrive in 2023 exclusively for PlayStation 5. Marvel Games Vice President Bill Rosemann said the game will have everything fans loved about the first title and Spider-Man: Miles Morales, plus much more.
He also confirmed that the story will pick up where the games left off and will feature several villains, in addition to hinting at the return of other characters.
Insomniac Games is also developing a Wolverine game for the PlayStation 5. According to the studio, the independent title will be directed by Brian Horton and Cameron Christian, the creative directors of Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales.
The game is early in development and promises to deliver an emotional narrative, as well as cutting-edge gameplay and a unique experience.
