Last Friday (20), we had the launch of the long-awaited Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, which, as expected, was extremely acclaimed by specialized critics, and was equally praised by players’ initial impressions.
Unfortunately, not everyone is able to enjoy Peter Parker and Miles Morales’ new adventure right away, mainly due to a problem that appears to be affecting some physical copies of the game.
Some players in Europe claim that they are unable to install their physical copy of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 on the PS5.
The game, which launched last Friday, has been hailed by developer Insomniac as being fully playable on disc without the need for an additional download (although Insomniac has advised players who purchased a physical copy of the game to download the update from launch day).
Now, it appears that several players are experiencing an issue where the game does not install correctly from the disc itself.
According to a Reddit thread that is still active, the issue appears to be largely affecting players in continental Europe, with players claiming to be from Romania, the Netherlands, and Malta.
There is currently no known workaround for the issue, and PlayStation or Insomniac have not yet commented on the issue.
