Pushed back a few months ago, Marvel’s Midnight Suns remains quite mysterious. Firaxis Games’ game might release in two weeks, according to insider Tom Henderson.
Tom Henderson, journalist and insider, relays information he obtained from his sources regarding Marvel’s Midnight Suns. We should learn more regarding the game at Summer Games Fest.
A redesign of the game following player feedback?

According to Tom Henderson, in an article published on Try Hard Guides, Player feedback following first gameplay footage forced FIraxis to revise its title. In this primarily tactical game, the card mechanics implementing a form of randomness at the game had not really impressed the majority of players at that time. Firaxis would therefore have decided to overhaul its game, explaining why it was pushed back last November, before wallowing in a certain silence. Henderson, on the other hand, does not know what kind of redesign it is: a big overhaul in depth, or lighter adjustments on the surface.
News from the Summer Games Fest
Exactly, this revamped version of Marvel’s Midnight Suns should be presented to the public as soon as the Summer Games Fest which begin on June 9, in particular through a new trailer. We will therefore have to wait a few days to see how much card mechanics, and the rest of the title have changed. As a reminder, Midnight Suns must be a tactical-RPG (inspired by the XCOM series that Firaxis also develops) with at least twelve marvel characters playable at launch. Furthermore, you can create your own superherocustomizable, and baptized The Hunter. A catalog of a quarantine superpowers will be at your disposal to make it the superhero you really want.
The playable characters at launch that we know:
- Iron Man
- Captain America
- Wolverine
- Doctor Strange
- Captain Marvel / Carol Danvers
- Blade (vampire hunter, so far only heard in the MCU, in the movie Eternals)
- Ghost Rider / Robbie Reyes (spirit of Vengeance, seen in the MCU in the Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD series)
- Nico Minoru (Wiccan witch, seen in the MCU in the Marvel’s Runaways series)
- Magik (mutant, seen in the spin-off of the X-Men saga, New Mutants)
Nine known characters announced on the promised twelve Marvel heroes, in addition to your superhero The Hunter, the thirteenth playable.
Marvel’s Midnight Suns is expected on PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch, for the moment for the second half of the year 2022.
