The iconic superhero takes on a formidable challenge in Captain America: Brave New world. Sam Wilson,the newly appointed Captain America,played by Anthony mackie,faces off against the rage-fueled Red Hulk,the alter-ego of President Thaddeus ross,portrayed by Harrison Ford.
As fans witnessed in the 2021 series The Falcon and the Winter Soldier,Wilson opted against taking the super soldier serum that transformed Steve Rogers (played by Chris Evans) into Captain America. But that serum,recreated by a former HYDRA scientist using the blood of the first Black super soldier,Isaiah Bradley (Carl Lumbly),found its way into the hands of others.
While both the Flag Smashers, led by Karli Morgenthau (Erin Kellyman), and the U.S. government-sanctioned Captain America, John Walker (Wyatt Russell), embraced the serum’s power, Sam persisted as Captain America, relying on his advanced EXO-7 Falcon flight suit, upgraded by the brilliant minds of Wakanda.
The suit, adorned with the technologically advanced, mechanized, collapsible wings of Wakandan design, boasted unparalleled strength and durability. “With the serum, you can fight anybody. When you don’t have the serum, you have to be smart and engineer different ways of defeating [enemies],” Anthony Mackie, who portrays Wilson, shared during Disney’s APAC Content showcase. “With Sam, him being a counselor, he uses more of his brains than his brawn. He uses more of his wit than his fist.”

Mackie’s Captain America equips a high-tech flight suit gifted to him by the Wakandans. ”I went to Wakanda,met with everybody in Wakanda,we had dinner. It was a great time. They threw me a welcome party. It was dope. But when I was leaving, they gave me a suit, right? I put it on. I can kick harder, I can fly faster, and it gives me the ability to be more agile in my skills, so it’s taking all my skills to a fully different level.”

This fusion enhances Ross’s strength and heat manipulation abilities to new levels. While vibranium doesn’t directly control Ross’s transformations, it amplifies the heat-generated aspects of his hulkmode, making him a formidable adversary for Captain America.
Archyde: Intriguing. With Red Hulk causing havoc, how does Sam’s vibranium suit help him face this formidable challenge?
Dr. Hart: The impenetrability and heat resistance of vibranium will be crucial against Red Hulk.
