Prof. Moeljono S. Trastotenojo, Tembalang, Semarang, Wednesday (11/9).
In his speech, Vice President Ma’ruf conveyed the importance of sharia economics and finance. According to the vice president, sharia economics can adapt to the development of the times, contribute to the national economy, and be able to become a new current in the global economic flow.
Not only that, Ma’ruf said that the contribution of Islamic economics and finance to the national economy has experienced quite rapid development in the last five years.
“The contribution of sharia business activities to national GDP in December 2023 reached almost 47 percent. In fact, the current share of the sharia financial market has reached 11.04 percent of total national financial assets,” he explained. (H-3)
