The Federal Volleyball Super Cup is a competition which brings together the champions of the Overseas Countries and Territories. It started on Saturday June 3, 2023 in Saint-Leu on the island of Reunion.
The Martinican representatives involved had different successes on the first day of the event.
Lucéennes de l’Espoir, champions of Martinique, lost 2 sets to 0 (11/25 and 10/25) once morest Arc En Ciel Guyanese.
In addition, from the first set, the Sainte-Luce team saw their libero, Célia Henry, emerge. After passing exams, the dreaded verdict fell for the latter: rupture of the Achilles tendon, an injury forcing her to have surgery on the spot.
The Martinique men’s champion started his competition well. The Rayon of Petite-Anse indeed dominated the Zamfi of Mayotte on the score of 2 sets to 1 (27/25, 22/25 and 15 to 9).
This smooth entry allows the two teams to take their marks for the future, the objective being to finish on the podium during the final phase.
But on the sidelines of the event, the delegation deplores the accommodation conditions on site. In a video posted on social networks, we see players walking around the apartment they occupy, a place deemed “particularly dirty”.

The accommodation conditions are not good, they are deplorable. We didn’t choose the hotel. It is a competition organized by the League of the island of Reunion, it is she who took care of the reservation.
